As a Principal Cloud Engineer, you will lead the design, evolution, and support of cloud-based environments and infrastructure. You will influence architecture decisions, optimize existing solutions, and mentor team members. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and shape Sabre’s cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and automated cloud solutions.
- Lead architecture discussions and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native applications.
- Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions, with collaboration on architecture decisions.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
- Proficiency with source version control using Git.
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying large-scale cloud-based applications and services
- Strong focus on microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
- Proficiency in programming for automation and system integration, preferably Python
- Experience with other languages such as Bash, Go, or similar is also valued.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Solutions Architect).
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
