Equipment Mechanic
Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.
Saber Power Services seeks an experienced Equipment Mechanic with a strong background in Altec, Terex, and Bobcat equipment, along with solid working knowledge of automotive, trailer, and generator repairs. This is a hands-on role for a skilled technician who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and job-ready.

Support Equipment (Competency Required)
- Trucks (gas & diesel – RAM, Ford, GM)
- Trailers
- Forklifts
- Generators
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on fleet equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair boom functions, PTO systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, wiring, and controls
- Maintain and repair Bobcat equipment, including hydraulics, undercarriage, drive systems, and electrical components
- Complete competent repairs on trucks, trailers, and generators as needed
- Maintain accurate service records and clearly communicate repair status
- Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist with occasional field repairs when required
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of mechanic experience in equipment, fleet, heavy-duty, or related environments
- Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Competency in automotive, trailer, and generator repairs
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and manage repairs with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license and reliable attendance
- Hands-on experience with Altec, Terex, and/or Bobcat equipment preferred
- CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus
- Knowledge of DOT inspections is a plus
- Field service experience preferred
