Custodian

Monday - Friday | 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

(with future increase to 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to support evening cleaning operations at a professional office complex in the downtown Birmingham area near the Old Woodward corridor.

This position is focused on vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining a clean, organized, and professional office environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, able to work independently, and takes pride in completing detailed cleaning work after normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial duties throughout office and common areas
• Vacuum offices, hallways, conference rooms, and shared spaces using a backpack vacuum
• Maintain cleanliness throughout entrances, workspaces, and shared areas
• Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Report any facility concerns or supply needs to management

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred
• Ability to wear and use a backpack vacuum during the shift
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a professional office environment

Pay $15 - $16 per hour
