Custodial Supervisor | Canton
Monday - Friday | 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
$17-$18 per hour
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Custodial Supervisor to lead evening cleaning operations at a busy urgent care and medical office facility in the Canton area near the Ford Road and Canton Center corridor.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The Custodial Supervisor will work alongside the cleaning team each shift while helping train employees, monitor quality, maintain cleaning standards, and support daily facility operations.
This position supports an active healthcare environment where cleanliness, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate is comfortable working around patients, visitors, medical staff, and other building occupants while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support custodial employees during evening cleaning operations
- Perform daily custodial and environmental services duties alongside the team
- Train employees on cleaning procedures, quality expectations, and safety practices
- Monitor work quality and help maintain consistent cleaning standards
- Assist with shift coordination, task assignments, and daily coverage needs
- Maintain cleanliness throughout patient-facing areas, offices, waiting areas, treatment areas, entrances, and shared spaces
- Support a clean, safe, and professional healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and medical staff
- Communicate professionally with team members, management, and building contacts
- Support proper use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment
- Report facility concerns, supply needs, or staffing issues to management
Requirements
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience required
- Previous supervisor, management, or team lead experience required
- Must be comfortable working in a healthcare facility
- Reliable attendance and strong communication skills
- Ability to lead employees while also performing hands-on cleaning duties
- Comfortable working around patients, visitors, medical staff, and building occupants
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and follow through on daily responsibilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Professional and respectful communication with team members, staff, patients, and visitors
