Who We Need
Sabel is seeking a Product/Systems Architect, to support the Chief Product Officer (CPO), Business Unit Leads, and cross-functional technical teams in defining, maturing, and executing Sabel Offerings and Products. The Product/Systems Architect will lead market research, competitive analysis, repeatable offering design, and pre-sales solutioning across Sabel’s defense, federal, and commercial portfolios. Translate business needs into technical capability roadmaps, shape product definitions, develop reusable architectures, and ensure alignment between customer demand, product strategy, and delivery execution. The Architect will also be responsible for overseeing all Sabel-owned intellectual property (IP), including collection, structuring, baseline management, change control, distribution, and long-term archival preservation. This role ensures that Sabel’s digital assets, proprietary frameworks, architectural baselines, product artifacts, models, documents, templates, and software configurations are properly governed, protected, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.
What You’ll Do

• Conduct strategic market research, trend analysis, and competitive assessments.
• Collaborate with CPO and business units to define product vision and value propositions.
• Develop repeatable offerings, solution playbooks, and standardized architectural patterns.
• Support pre-sales solutioning, customer discovery, requirements elicitation, and proposal content.
• Translate customer and market needs into functional requirements and architectural roadmaps.
• Produce briefings, technical documents, business cases, and decision papers.
• Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, cloud hosting, and delivery teams.
• Assist with lifecycle development of Sabel Products including MVP scoping and release planning.
• Manage all Sabel IP across its lifecycle: creation, baseline, change control, distribution, and archival.
• Establish and enforce configuration management (CM) processes, versioning guidelines, and control gates.
• Maintain authoritative configuration baselines for Sabel Products, Offerings, and enterprise frameworks.
• Ensure proper approval workflows for updates, modifications, and releases.
• Create and maintain digital asset inventories for models, documents, software, templates, and proprietary frameworks.
• Coordinate with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, Cyber, and Delivery teams to ensure synchronized baselines.
• Maintain secure storage, backups, repository structures, and access controls for all controlled artifacts.
• Monitor configuration deviations and ensure corrective action plans.
• Support internal and external audits, quality reviews, and compliance checks.

Required Qualifications
• US Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4 years experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, business architecture, or product strategy.
• Experience in DoD digital engineering, PLM/MBE/MBSE, enterprise integration, or acquisition programs.
• Experience with configuration management tools and repository systems (Git, SharePoint, PLM, Nexus, Sonatype, Grafana, etc.).
• Strong understanding of version control, baseline management, and IP governance.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree
• Experience with DoD Digital Engineering Strategy, MBSE tools, PLM platforms, or AAF
• Experience supporting product management or digital product lines.

Salary and Benefits
The range for this position is between $115,000 and $180,000. Actual salary will be negotiated with this position’s Hiring Manager and can vary depending on the following factors: Billable contract and labor category, experience, skills, education /certifications/ licenses & geographic location.
