Position Overview
The System Administrator is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving Sabel Systems’ enterprise IT environment, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance. This role provides direct support to internal staff, manages endpoint systems across Windows and MacOS platforms, and assists in maintaining infrastructure, cloud services, identity systems, and enterprise applications.
This position reports directly to the Manager of Information Technology and works closely with the broader IT and Cybersecurity teams to ensure systems remain aligned with company standards, security requirements, and operational needs.
The ideal candidate has strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience with enterprise device management tools, and familiarity working within a compliance-driven environment such as NIST 800-171 or CMMC. Experience administering MacOS systems in a secure, regulated setting is highly beneficial.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
Endpoint & Device Management
- Administer and support Windows and MacOS endpoint devices in a secure, compliant environment.
- Configure and manage device management tools (e.g., Intune, JAMF, or similar) to enforce security policies, updates, and application deployments.
- Maintain secure baselines, perform system hardening, and ensure compliance with DoD and NIST-aligned policies.
User & Technical Support
- Provide Tier 1–3 technical support for hardware, software, authentication, and system-related issues.
- Onboard and offboard users, including account provisioning, device setup, and access management.
- Assist staff in resolving issues related to productivity tools, collaboration systems, and core enterprise applications.
Systems & Infrastructure Operations
- Support identity and access management systems (Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, MFA, SSO).
- Assist with managing cloud environments, virtual machines, and network resources.
- Perform routine system maintenance, monitoring, patching, and performance tuning.
Security & Compliance
- Work with Cybersecurity staff to ensure systems conform to NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and internal security standards.
- Maintain accurate asset records, system configurations, and documentation.
- Support vulnerability remediation, logging, monitoring, and endpoint protection initiatives.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, device lifecycle management, and new technology rollouts.
- Contribute to IT process improvements, documentation, and training resources.
- Coordinate with vendor partners and service providers as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in system administration, desktop support, or IT operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing MacOS systems in an enterprise environment, preferably within a regulated or compliance-focused organization.
- Experience supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and standard enterprise IT tools.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with endpoint management tools such as Intune, or Rippling IT, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of identity management, MFA, and access controls.
- Understanding of secure configuration standards and compliance requirements (NIST 800-171, CMMC, CIS benchmarks).
- Experience with networking fundamentals, VPN technologies, and cloud-based services.
- Experience migrating users into Microsoft 365 Environments using traditional and non-traditional frameworks
Certifications (Preferred)
- CompTIA A , Network , and/or Security
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or Associate-level certifications
- JAMF, Apple IT Support, or similar MacOS administration certifications
- Other relevant IT support or security certifications

Salary and Benefits
The range for this position is between $70,000 and $80,000. Actual salary will be negotiated with this position’s Hiring Manager and can vary depending on the following factors: Billable contract and labor category, experience, skills, education /certifications/ licenses & geographic location.
