Overview
About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and safety‑focused Steel Warehouse Handler to join our growing team. This role is responsible for handling, organizing, and preparing steel materials while supporting daily warehouse operations. We offer competitive pay along with monthly performance incentives and quarterly safety and productivity incentives.
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move steel materials (plate, beams, angle, pipe, rebar, etc.)
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material‑handling equipment
- Pull, stage, and prepare orders for delivery or customer will‑call
- Band, bundle, and secure material for shipment
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and quality
- Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse upkeep
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company, OSHA, and safety guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse, steel, or industrial experience preferred
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience (or willingness to train)
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order pulling
- Dependability and good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, non‑climate‑controlled environment
- Basic math skills for measurements and verification
