What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Saba Health Care?
Job Description
- Ensure the facility environment, grounds and equipment is maintained in good, safe operating order.
- Supervise maintenance assistant to assure that the environment is maintained in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations.
- Maintain and complete all required daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and semi-annual services/testing as directed in the maintenance handbook (water temperatures, exit lighting checks, generator testing, fire and smoke alarm testing, etc.)
- Monitor all facility means of egress (exits) to assure they are free from any obstructions. This must be done daily.
- Assure the proper operation of all call lights.
- Monitor completion of all maintenance work logs to assure that all needed repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
- Assure inventory of maintenance supplies is consistently available in accordance with facility budget.
