Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service with a positive attitude
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Prepare food items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including bussing tables and food handling stations
- Assist in food preparation tasks, ensuring quality and timely delivery of orders
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Ensure compliance with health regulations related to food safety and sanitation standards
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurant environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell and promote menu items effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail setting is beneficial
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
