Including, but not limited to:
- Install electrical conduit with professional quality installation standards.
- Install the conduit above and below grade, and attached to steel structure in a multilevel platform.
- Trouble shoot electrical issues with equipment e.g. motors, fuses, transformers, PLC’s, motor control drives, and demand switches.
- Repair circuits as needed in a safe and timely manner.
- Work with all non-live circuits and with “lock out tag out try out” applied.
- Able to follow procedures in the event of an electrical emergency.
- Work with other employees in the area working on a different task.
- Sketch simple diagrams and reads blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Safe use of multi-meters, high voltage test equipment, static discharge tools, and other electrical safety tools
- Keep work areas neat and orderly
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential job functions
- Organizing materials to have more effective use of space
- Dispose of various waste materials in the appropriate manner
- Inspection to ensure cleanup is completed
- Effective housekeeping in workplace area is an ongoing operation for safety and better hygienic conditions for all team members.
- Employees in this position prior to April 2014 are presumed to be qualified and are "grandfathered" into their positions.
- Must pass a medical physical and drug test
- Must pass a background check
- Preferred – high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
- Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands
- A thorough understanding of electrical principles, professional installations, safety practices, and industrial electrical troubleshooting
- An electrical accreditation from an electrical trade school or college or at least journeyman level trade experience
- Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction written or oral, electrical diagrams (draft plans), and use mathematics as the job
