We are seeking highly skilled Powertrain Controls Engineers with strong expertise in torque control strategies, eDCT transmission systems, and hybrid powertrain controls. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the development, integration, and optimization of advanced transmission and hybrid control algorithms for next-generation automotive platforms.
This role requires hands-on experience in hybrid shift execution, engine start-stop systems, torque estimation, and transmission control logic development within a model-based development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize Torque Control strategies for eDCT transmission systems
- Design and implement Hybrid Shift Execution (HSER) algorithms
- Support development of Engine Start-Stop / Auto Start-Stop control functionalities
- Develop clutch torque command and torque estimation models
- Work on engine speed control, torque path management, and transmission shift execution strategies
- Model, simulate, and validate control algorithms using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
- Support closed-loop simulations, system integration, and validation activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in Agile development environments
- Participate in calibration support, issue analysis, debugging, and performance optimization activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in eDCT transmission controls and hybrid powertrain systems
- Deep understanding of Torque Control and Shift Execution strategies
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
- Experience with model-based development and automotive control systems
- Familiarity with Git version control and Agile development methodologies
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of axle disconnect and wheel-end disconnect systems
- Experience working with Magna P2.5, ZF P2Gen4, or Punch eDCT powertrain platforms
- Prior experience in hybrid transmission integration and validation
