Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Powertrain Controls Engineer to support Stellantis programs with strong expertise in eDCT transmissions, torque control strategies, and hybrid shift execution. The role involves development and optimization of engine start-stop systems, hybrid torque management, and transmission control algorithms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of Torque Control strategies for eDCT transmissions
- Implementation of Hybrid Shift Execution (HSER) algorithms
- Support Engine Start-Stop / Auto Start-Stop control development
- Develop clutch torque command and torque estimation models
- Work on engine speed control, torque path management, and shift execution
- Model and simulate control strategies using MATLAB/Simulink/
Stateflow - Support closed-loop simulation and system validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile development environments
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in eDCT transmission controls and hybrid powertrain systems
- Knowledge of Torque Control and Shift Execution strategies
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
- Familiarity with Git and Agile development practices
- Knowledge of axle disconnect / wheel-end disconnect systems is a plus
Preferred:
- Experience with Magna P2.5, ZF P2Gen4, or Punch eDCT powertrains
- Prior experience working on Autmotive OEM programs
