Role Description The Leasing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for greeting prospective residents, conducting property tours, and presenting apartment features, pricing, and community amenities in a clear and engaging way. The Leasing Specialist will process rental applications, prepare and execute leases, and ensure all lease documentation is accurate and compliant with company policies. Daily responsibilities include responding to phone, email, and walk-in inquiries, following up with prospects, and supporting resident retention efforts through proactive communication and problem resolution. The role also involves coordinating move-in and move-out activities, maintaining updated unit availability and marketing materials, assisting with resident events, and partnering with the property management and maintenance teams to support a positive living experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication, with the ability to build rapport and respond professionally to diverse residents and prospects.
- Experience with Leases and Lease Administration, including preparing, reviewing, and accurately completing leasing documents and related records.
- Focus on Resident Retention, with skills in building long-term relationships, resolving concerns, and supporting resident satisfaction and renewals.
- Basic proficiency with property management or leasing software, email, and office applications; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site property environment, including some evenings or weekends as needed for tours or events.
- Prior experience in multifamily leasing, property management, or a related customer service/sales role is preferred but not strictly required.
