Overview
We are seeking a top 1% Heavy Duty Mechanic - a highly skilled, self-driven professional who takes pride in elite-level workmanship. The traditional hours for this position are 6PM to 2AM. This is not an entry-level or average mechanic role. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment with speed, precision, and ownership.

Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, bucket trucks, chip trucks, forklifts, tractors, and support equipment
- Own problems from start to finish - fast, accurate troubleshooting without hand-holding
- Execute preventative maintenance with a mindset of eliminating failures before they happen
- Fabricate and modify components as needed using welding, cutting, and custom solutions
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, hydraulics, air brakes, transmissions, and complex mechanical failures
- Read and apply schematics and technical manuals efficiently - no guesswork
- Support field crews when equipment goes down and get them back up fast
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional shop and work environment
Qualifications
- Proven track record as a high-level heavy equipment or diesel mechanic (dealership or fleet experience strongly preferred)
- Deep diagnostic ability - you fix what others can’t figure out
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake systems
- Fabrication and welding skills are a major plus
- Comfortable working on a wide range of equipment - cranes, trucks, chippers, grinders, and more
- Ability to work independently, move fast, and take full ownership of outcomes
- High standards, high accountability - you don’t cut corners
