Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, performing diagnostic evaluations, and supporting clinical research initiatives within a fast-paced medical environment. Candidates should be proficient in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks, with a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT), and HIPAA compliance. Experience in diverse areas such as trauma centers, ICU, neonatal ventilator management, and telehealth is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory data collection, and physical diagnostics
- Administer injections, medications, IV infusions, and manage airway or ventilator support as needed
- Assist with procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including cardiac catheterization), spinal taps, and dermal fillers
- Manage acute pain and provide urgent care services including triage and infectious disease care
- Support inpatient and outpatient care through discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and hospice & palliative medicine services
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems like Epic or Cerner while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards
- Participate in clinical research trials and data collection efforts to improve patient outcomes
- Educate patients on health coaching topics including family planning, nutrition, addiction counseling, and chronic disease management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings such as Level I & II trauma centers or NICU/PICU units
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Experience administering injections and performing physical examinations with aseptic technique
- Skilled in CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10) for accurate billing and documentation
- Ability to manage complex cases involving ventilator support or cardiac catheterization procedures
- Familiarity with hospital environments such as ICU or emergency room settings; experience in trauma centers preferred
- Competence in telehealth platforms for remote patient assessments
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and radiation therapy procedures if applicable
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on safety, compassion, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within healthcare teams

Pay: $75, $85,000.00 per year
