S&S is a trusted provider of Mitigation, Restoration, Exterior, and property repair services. We help residential and commercial property owners recover from water, fire, storm, and other property losses. We are growing and looking for an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. Xactimate proficiency is required. Experience working for an insurance company or within the property claims industry is a strong plus.
About the Position
As an Estimator, you will develop accurate, thorough, and well-supported scopes and estimates for residential and commercial restoration projects. You will inspect properties, evaluate damage, document the work required, and prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate, DocuSketch, Company Cam and other company estimating tools.
You will review photographs, measurements, reports, plans, carrier estimates, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building requirements to ensure each project is scoped correctly. When an insurance carrier’s estimate is incomplete or inaccurate, you will identify missing items, prepare properly documented supplements, and communicate professionally with adjusters and other claim representatives.
This position works closely with homeowners, property managers, insurance professionals, project managers, and production teams throughout the estimating and approval process. You will help resolve scope discrepancies, monitor estimates and supplements, maintain consistent follow-up, and keep organized project notes within company systems. Your work will help ensure every project is positioned to meet our standards for quality, customer service, and profitability.

The right candidate can manage multiple projects and deadlines, communicate confidently with customers and insurance professionals, and defend a complete and properly documented scope of work.
Ideal candidates are analytical, organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team. You should understand residential construction, enjoy solving complex problems, and take ownership of your work from the initial inspection through final scope approval.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
