What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive position at S&S Repair and Restoration?
Client Advocate. Project Connector. Experience Champion.
Build Relationships. Keep Projects Connected. Create an Exceptional Client Experience.
At S&S Repair and Restoration, we believe great customer experiences don't happen by accident. They happen because someone is paying attention, communicating consistently, following through, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
We're looking for a highly organized, proactive, and people-focused Account Executive to help guide our clients through their experience with S&S—from the time their project is sold through completion.
This is not a traditional sales or commission-based Account Executive position. You won't be responsible for cold calling or hitting a sales quota. Instead, you'll serve as a consistent client advocate and internal connector, working alongside our Sales, Estimating, Project Management, and Accounting teams to keep communication moving and customers informed.
If you're the kind of person who notices when something needs attention, takes ownership, follows through, and genuinely enjoys helping people, we'd like to meet you.
About S&S Repair and Restoration
S&S Repair and Restoration is a growing leader in insurance restoration, mitigation, reconstruction, roofing, siding, and exterior repair. We help homeowners and commercial property owners recover from fire, water, storm, and other property damage—often during some of the most stressful situations they will ever experience.
Our reputation has been built on quality workmanship, strong relationships, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. As we continue to grow, we're looking for exceptional people who want to grow with us.
What You'll Do
As an Account Executive, you'll become involved as soon as a project is sold and remain connected to the client throughout their experience with S&S.
You'll welcome new customers, establish communication expectations, and help them understand who their key points of contact are throughout the project. From there, you'll maintain proactive communication, monitor project activity, and help ensure customers never feel forgotten or unsure about what happens next.
A major part of your role will be recognizing when something needs attention. You may notice a project hasn't received an update, an outstanding item is delaying progress, communication between departments has stalled, or a customer is beginning to become frustrated.
When that happens, you take action.
You'll connect with the appropriate internal team member, communicate what needs attention, follow through, and help keep the customer informed.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Building strong relationships with clients from project handoff through completion
- Maintaining proactive and professional customer communication
- Monitoring project status, activity, notes, and outstanding items
- Identifying communication gaps, delays, customer concerns, and potential issues early
- Coordinating with internal departments and following through until issues are addressed
- Maintaining accurate client communication and account records
- Managing multiple active client relationships and priorities
- Assisting with difficult customer situations and escalating issues when appropriate
- Identifying opportunities for additional S&S services and connecting clients with the appropriate team
- Completing the customer experience by requesting feedback and Google reviews after successful projects
We're not looking for someone who waits for the phone to ring.
The best Account Executives naturally ask: Does this customer know what's happening? Is something being missed? Does someone need to follow up? Is there an issue we can address before it becomes a problem?
You won't be expected to personally solve every technical or operational issue. You will be expected to recognize issues, communicate them, get the right people involved, and follow through.
That combination of awareness, communication, ownership, and follow-through is what makes this position successful.
Who We're Looking For
The right person for this role is highly organized, dependable, professional, and genuinely enjoys working with people. You're comfortable managing multiple priorities without losing track of details, and you're someone others can count on to do what you say you're going to do.
You're a strong communicator by phone, email, and text. You can be warm and approachable while remaining professional, and you're comfortable stepping into a difficult conversation when a customer is frustrated.
Most importantly, you're proactive. You don't just identify problems—you help move them toward a solution.
We think you'll be successful here if you are:
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
- Proactive, accountable, and excellent at following through
- Friendly, polished, and confident communicating with customers
- Comfortable managing multiple clients and priorities
- Calm and professional in challenging situations
- Comfortable working across multiple departments
- Confident learning new technology and software
- Coachable, positive, and eager to improve
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in account management, customer service, client relations, project coordination, construction, restoration, roofing, insurance, or property management is helpful.
Experience with CRM or project management software is also valuable. Familiarity with Next Gear/DASH, CompanyCam, Microsoft 365, or DocuSign is a plus.
Industry experience is helpful, but it's not everything.
We hire for talent, attitude, judgment, work ethic, communication skills, and character. We can teach systems and processes.
What This Role Is — and Isn't
The Account Executive is an important part of the customer experience, but you won't be expected to do every department's job.
You will not be responsible for estimating losses, managing construction projects, making technical production decisions, collecting customer balances, managing material selections, or negotiating financial matters. Those responsibilities belong to the appropriate S&S specialists.
Your job is to know what's happening, recognize when something needs attention, connect the right people, communicate with the client, and follow through.
Simply put: help make sure the customer never feels lost in the process.
Why Join S&S?
This isn't just a customer service position. It's an opportunity to become an important part of a growing company and gain exposure to virtually every part of the restoration and construction process.
We offer competitive compensation, paid training and mentorship, career growth opportunities, established systems and processes, professional development, company events, and a supportive team environment.
Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on how our customers experience S&S while building a long-term career with a respected and growing organization.
