What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Advocate position at S&S Employment Partners?
Member Advocate / Member Services / CSR with Health Insurance exp, CSR– Fast-growing healthcare provider seeks multiple Member Services Advocate with experience in healthcare or health insurance to assist members at their offices in Des Moines, IA.
This is a direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $20.00 per hour based on your experience. You will work daytime hours Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Some of your responsibilities as a Member Advocate include:
- Building strong professional relationships internally and externally
- 12 – 15 incoming and outbound calls daily
- Accessing a provider
- Scheduling procedures/appointments
- Interpreting invoices received from medical providers
- Documenting required information into database
- Assisting and educating providers on the client benefit plans
- Problem solving in real time or through timely follow up with the member
- Meeting performance goals in the areas of efficiency, call quality, provider satisfaction, and attendance
- Understanding of products and the multiple levels of benefits within each product
To qualify for the Member Advocate position, you must have a customer service - call center background and the following:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent working experience
- Knowledge of Windows PC applications and ability to learn new complex computer systems
- Ability to multi task
- Flexibility with your schedule to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Bilingual is a plus
- 1 year of customer service experience and/or 1 year of office, call center, or phone support experience preferred
