CNC Machine Setup/Operator/Programmer

S & R Tool is a precision manufacturer supplying critical components to customers. Our facility operates to AS9100 standards and is equipped with state-of-the-art multi-axis machining technology. We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup /Operator/Programmer to join our precision machining team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machining centers to produce tight-tolerance components for our customers.

Position: Machine Setup-operator-Programmer for Lathe and or Mill

Basic Job description:

• Perform in-process inspection using precision measurement equipment (micrometers, CMM, gauges)
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and throughput
• Maintain strict compliance with AS9100 quality standards, first-article requirements, and internal procedures
• Collaborate with quality personnel to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work cell in accordance with 5S standards

Skills required:

- Blue print reading skills including GD&T

- Good math skills

- Keeping work area clean and organized

- Must be able to work independently and communicate with co-workers.

- Mechanical Aptitude

Skills preferred:

• 3 years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in G-code programming (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar control platforms)
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specifications
• Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling selection, and fixturing
• Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality management systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required
• Familiarity with CMM operation and programming (Open-DMIS, Verisurf or similar)
• Journeyman machinist certification or equivalent technical degree
