This role is 100% onsite in Jackson, MS – remote or hybrid arrangements will not be considered. The position is administrative in nature but focuses on technology-related procurements. The contractor will play a key role in multiple RFPs and procurements across various state agencies.

Manage and balance multiple procurement projects while meeting strict deadlines.

- Develop, create, and edit procurement documents including formal contracts with attention to detail.
- Coordinate with customer agencies, vendors, and ITS Quality Assurance team throughout the procurement process.
- Follow state procurement guidelines, standards, policies, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct independent research and gather information as needed.
- Assist with IT project management tasks, analysis/requirements definition, and technical specification research.
- Work effectively in a team environment to plan, develop, and implement IT projects.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical writing ability and attention to detail.
- Customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive attitude with ability to independently research and solve problems.
- Interest in technology, IT project management, and technical specification research.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 3 years of procurement experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
