About the Role
S&K Industrial is looking for a dependable, skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our fabrication shop team. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, can work independently, and enjoys being part of a team.
Previous fabrication experience is required, and experience with painting and CNC equipment is a preferred. You will work on a variety of projects involving fabrication, welding, machining, and finishing, while using your skills and creativity to figure out challenges and find practical solutions.
This is custom shop work, not repetitive production, where no two projects are exactly alike.
What You’ll Do
- Fabricate and assemble custom components and equipment from blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions, ensuring accurate fit and assembly
- Cut, fit, tack, weld, grind, drill, and finish metal components using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and evaluate completed work for quality, accuracy, proper fit, and compliance with project specifications
- Troubleshoot fabrication and assembly issues and help develop practical solutions
- Work independently on custom projects while collaborating with engineers and the shop team to resolve design and fabrication challenges and meet project deadlines
- Communicate project progress, issues, and ideas for improvement with the shop team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a welder/fabricator
- Proficiency in MIG welding; experience with steel and aluminum TIG welding is a plus. Welding certification preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented approach
- Willingness to learn new methods and skills
- Previous experience operating a waterjet, CNC machine, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred
- Painting or industrial finishing experience a plus
- Rigging experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license required

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
