What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Peer Support Specialist position at S&H Youth and Adult Services?
SHYAS HEALTH is looking for Certified Peer Support Specialists to join our strong team in Charlotte, Concord and Salisbury. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Provide one on one and group interventions for your assigned caseload.
- CPSS is responsible for ensuring recovery-focused service that allows individuals the opportunity to learn to manage their own recovery and advocacy process through interventions of Peer Support staff that enhance the development of natural supports, as well as coping and self-management skills.
- Obtain consumer signature on accountability log daily at the end of each session and Complete daily progress note and enter it into the EHR system within 24 hours of service for each person served/supported.
- Ensure productivity (35 billable hours full-time staff & 20 billable hours part-time staff).
- Ensure consumers on Team are attending Peer Support Group and they have Therapy weekly/bi-weekly.
Qualifications
- The peer support specialist must be certified as a North Carolina Certified peer support specialist (NCCPSS).
- The peer support specialist must have a GED/High School Diploma.
