Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Roller Operator to join our asphalt paving team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient paving of roads, parking lots, and other surfaces. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site procedures, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. Prior experience with asphalt paving and construction equipment is highly valued to support our project needs.
Duties
- Operate asphalt rollers and other heavy machinery to compact asphalt and other paving materials effectively.
- Support paving operations by operating loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and other related equipment.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to site protocols and inspecting equipment regularly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance during operations.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including material handling and site cleanup.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as asphalt rollers, loaders, excavators, and dump trucks.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or experience with commercial vehicles is preferred, but not necessary.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in outdoor environments for extended periods.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
