About S.E.T., Inc.

S.E.T., Inc. is a growing heavy civil contractor specializing in highway, bridge, and infrastructure construction across Ohio and surrounding states. As a $100M contractor, we are focused on disciplined growth, operational excellence, and building strong internal systems to support long-term expansion.

We're hiring a Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle delivery of assigned construction projects.

Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the full lifecycle delivery of assigned construction projects. This role ensures that all aspects of contract compliance, cost control, scheduling, quality, safety, communication, and documentation are executed in alignment with company standards. The PM provides structured project leadership — coordinating internal teams, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to achieve successful outcomes and protect project margins.

This role interfaces regularly with clients/owners, design teams, superintendents and field leadership, estimating and preconstruction, and procurement, accounting, safety, and leadership teams. It does not supervise craft labor or self-perform work, approve hiring or compensation decisions, modify contract terms without approval, or commit the company to commercial risk beyond authority limits.

  • —Lead coordination with field leadership on look-ahead schedules
  • —Identify schedule deviations and execute recovery plans when required

  • —Price, negotiate, and document entitlement, cost, and time impacts
  • —Maintain organized logs and communication records

  • —Maintain the submittal schedule and inspection of readiness
  • —Support Superintendent with quality expectations, compliance, and punch-list closure
  • —Reduce rework through clear documentation and planning

  • —Deliver final turnover including O&Ms, warranties, training, and punch list
  • —Manage financial closeout, final pay applications, and retainage
  • —Lead lessons learned and project debrief
