S&D Saw & Tool Co., Inc. is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Hammer Smith. This is a hands-on position involving the preparation, forming, and hammering of saw blades and related components to precise specifications.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Hammer and form saw blades according to specifications.
• Inspect blades for quality, accuracy, and proper alignment.
• Use hand tools, measuring equipment, and shop equipment safely.
• Make precise adjustments to meet required specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Learn and develop additional skills as experience increases.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn specialized skills and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable performing hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous machining, metalworking, saw repair, welding, or fabrication experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
