Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Assist with medication reminders and administration
- Provide memory care support for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Perform catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as directed by a nurse
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
Experience:
- Previous experience as a home health aide or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of hospice care and experience working with terminally ill patients is a plus
- Familiarity with medical documentation and record keeping is beneficial
- Experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is advantageous
