Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Water Mitigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing water damage restoration projects, ensuring quality work, and leading a team of technicians. This role requires a strong background in restoration processes, including water damage, fire restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement. The Lead Water Mitigation Technician will play a vital role in restoring properties efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise water mitigation and restoration projects from start to finish
- Assess damage and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools for demolition, drying, and cleaning tasks
- Perform water extraction, drying, mold remediation, and fire restoration as needed
- Coordinate with clients to ensure satisfaction and communicate project progress
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Train and mentor junior technicians in proper restoration techniques
- Document project details accurately for reporting purposes
- Assist with cleaning, carpet cleaning, fire restoration, and construction tasks when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience in the restoration industry, including water damage restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and techniques within the restoration field
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction practices used in mitigation projects
- Ability to operate specialized equipment for water extraction and drying processes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license preferred for site travel and equipment transportation
