Sanitation Technician

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of production floors, equipment, and workstations using appropriate industrial cleaning tools and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness in food processing areas, adhering strictly to sanitation standards required by food safety regulations
• Conduct routine custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces in warehouses and manufacturing zones
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies, equipment, or waste disposal to support efficient workflow
• Follow detailed sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health codes and company policies
• Document cleaning activities, inspections, and maintenance tasks accurately in logs or digital tracking systems
• Collaborate with team members to identify sanitation needs and implement corrective actions promptly

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred
• Hands-on experience with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies is highly desirable
• Familiarity with food production or processing facilities is a plus, especially regarding sanitation standards specific to the industry
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of routine cleaning duties
• Experience working in warehouse or industrial settings that require strict adherence to safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing environments is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
