Job Summary As a Pavement Maintenance Foreman, you'll be responsible for leading a crew of laborers on job sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to Ryno Solutions' quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be in the field every day, directing the crew while also working alongside them.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of laborers on pavement maintenance job sites
- Direct daily work activities including sealcoating, crack sealing, patching, line striping, and site preparation
- Ensure all work is completed on time, on budget, and to quality standards
- Conduct pre-job site walkthroughs and communicate scope to the crew
- Enforce all safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE and traffic control measures
- Operate and maintain pavement maintenance equipment
- Manage materials, supplies, and equipment on site
- Serve as the primary point of contact on the job site for clients and crew
- Train and mentor laborers, setting expectations for performance and professionalism
- Report job progress and completions to management
- Complete basic job documentation and paperwork as required
Requirements
- 1 years of experience in pavement maintenance, asphalt work, or a closely related field
- Prior supervisory or crew lead experience
- Strong working knowledge of sealcoating, crack filling, patching, and/or line striping
- Valid driver's license — ability to tow trailers or operate crew vehicles preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay on your feet throughout the workday
- Reliable and punctual — your crew depends on you
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple jobs or crews simultaneously
- Familiarity with traffic control setup and flagging procedures
- Experience with job site documentation and customer communication
