Payroll Specialist

Job Title: Payroll Specialist – Ryan Logistics
Location: Marysville, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: First Shift, Monday – Friday
Pay: Competitive based on experience

The Payroll Specialist will manage all aspects of payroll processing for company drivers, owner-operators, and office employees. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and experience with complex pay structures, including mileage pay, hourly pay, and bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll for drivers, owner-operators, and office staff
• Review trip sheets, loads input into McLeod software, and settlements to ensure accurate pay calculations
• Verify and input hours, miles, bonuses, and deductions
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee pay issues promptly
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting for onboarding, benefits, and record-keeping

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 2 years of payroll experience (transportation/trucking industry preferred)
• Experience with McLeod Software is a plus
• Strong Excel and data-entry skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
