Day in the life of a Maintenance/Mow Crew Lead:
- Responsible for leading a mowing crew consisting of 1-3 people
- Managing a mowing crew who services a route on a day to day basis. Services includes mowing, trimming, edging, blowing off hard surfaces and sometimes weeding and pruning as requested. Leaf clean ups, bed clean up, cutbacks, aeration, verticutting, power rake and overseeding of lawns. Other duties as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with other department route managers or experts to meet expectations for clients for irrigation, turf and forestry needs.
- Work well independently as well as on a team while caring for customer properties.
- Interact professionally with customers on a daily basis communicating the process and expectations of services.
- Posses a thorough knowledge of mowing and landscape maintenance practices.
- Continue on the job training for all aspects of RYAN provided services along with recommendations for other RYAN services as needed on their property.
- Coach crew members to develop skills, efficiency and knowledge on mowing and maintenance services
- Ensure all crew members are equipped with the tools, resources and required training to accurately perform the service demands of our customers
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day
- 2 years of mowing or landscape maintenance experience
