Landscape Crew Member
Ryan-James Landscape Management, LLC is hiring a full-time Landscape Crew Member for our maintenance division. Work is performed throughout Syracuse, Jamesville, DeWitt, Manlius, and Fayetteville on both residential and commercial properties.
We are looking for a dependable, hard-working individual who takes pride in quality work and wants to be part of a professional team. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
Job Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Landscape installation and maintenance
- Hardscape installation
- Proper upkeep of established landscapes
- Installation of hardscape and softscape materials according to design specifications
- Tree and shrub planting, pruning, monitoring, and maintenance
- Installation and maintenance of annual and perennial beds and planters
- Installation of drainage systems and retaining walls
- Operation of light and heavy construction equipment, trucks, trailers, power tools, and hand tools
- Keeping work vehicles, trailers, and equipment clean and organized
Schedule
This is a full-time seasonal position.
Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
Pay
Pay is based on experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in landscape work preferred, including mowing, pruning, trimming, planting, and equipment operation
- Snow plow experience is a plus, or willingness to learn
- Valid and clean driver’s license required
- Ability to drive a truck with a trailer
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, bend, walk, and perform physical work throughout the day
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
