What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Manager position at Ryan Homes?

Join NVR, Inc., a leading homebuilder and parent company of Ryan Homes, NVHomes, and Heartland Homes, as our Benefits Manager. In this role, you’ll shape and execute NVR’s benefits strategy, ensuring competitive programs that support our employees and align with business goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, implement, and manage company-wide benefits programs.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Lead annual open enrollment and benefits communications.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Provide guidance to leaders and HR partners on benefits strategy.
  • Manage regulatory filings and reporting.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Lead and develop a team of HR Associates, overseeing HR operations (onboarding, terminations, relocations, ADA accommodations).


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in benefits design and administration.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements and self-insured plans (preferred).
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
