Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate Attorney role based in Land O'Lakes, FL. The Associate Attorney will support the firm’s construction-focused practice by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and related documents. Daily work will include conducting legal research, preparing memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents, and providing clear, practical legal advice under the supervision of senior attorneys. The role involves assisting with case management, including discovery, motion practice, and hearing or trial preparation. The Associate Attorney will also communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties, and contribute to maintaining organized files, accurate timelines, and thorough documentation for all matters.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law with the ability to analyze statutes, case law, contracts, and regulatory materials relevant to construction and commercial practice.
- Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice tailored to client business objectives and risk profiles.
- Research skills for identifying, interpreting, and applying legal authorities to complex fact patterns.
- Negotiation skills for settlements and dispute resolution, with a focus on achieving durable, business-oriented outcomes.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Florida (or eligibility for prompt admission).
- 0–3 years of relevant legal experience in construction, commercial, or civil litigation practices preferred, but candidates with strong transferable experience will be considered.
