    • Job Summary
      • The Patient Service Representative is responsible for setting up continuous passive motion devices, cold therapy devices, and mechanical DVT compression devices. They conduct direct communication with patients, hospitals/surgery centers, clinics and wells physicians and staff to provide services. They are also responsible for assignments delegated by the Patient Service Team Lead and Business Office Manager, which are not limited to the following essential responsibilities.
    • Duties and Responsibilities
      • Participate in daily and weekly meetings, offering concerns, ideas, scheduling updates, or problems of the day.
      • Works with the Logistics Coordinator and other Patient Services Representatives on schedule changes or modifying of the schedule as needed.
      • Receives/Returns phone calls regarding service problems, scheduling and pickups of equipment, and sales.
      • Provides information to all patients about HIPPA and their rights and responsibilities.
      • Handles products during delivery, set up, and pick-up in both home settings or facilities using Universal Precautions and Infection Control.
      • Follows company policies and procedures for the receiving, cleaning, disinfecting, and testing of equipment.
      • Performs environmental safety factors on the Patient Plan of Care.
      • Implements patient/caregiver teaching during the initial set-up and at any additional follow-up services.
      • Performs calls to patients to do follow-ups/surveys within 48 hours of setup.
      • Completes delivery tickets/forms required by company and Medicare guidelines.
      • Retrieves and verifies orders to complete brace paperwork, making sure to ensure all info is in the correct place on the forms.
      • Meets with Patient Care Billing Associate to ensure all paperwork has been sent.
      • Completes a record on all pieces of equipment manually computerized.
      • Communicates with staff regarding equipment requested by physicians in post op notes.
      • Performs inventory management at facilities, post-op supply room, and central sterile supply, etc.
      • Makes sales calls to patients for self-pay orders.
      • Checks and maintains stock in vans with extra pad kits, bags, etc.
      • Keeps company vehicle maintenance and registration up to date. (Examples include oil changes, fueled, cleanliness of the vehicle, etc.)
      • Check in vendor credentialing systems when necessary.
      • Takes initiative through projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative.
      • Maintains a strict adherence to privacy expectations for customers (HIPAA), employees, and the company. This might mean maintaining certifications.

      • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft 365, and the willingness to learn new software.
    • Requirements
      • Education / Experience
        • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
        • 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
      • Must be willing to work flexible hours, as needed, including weekend(s) and evening(s).
      • Must have reliable transportation.
      • Medicare accreditation status requires its employees in close physical contact with patients (Direct Care) to maintain certain immunizations, health screenings and related trainings, criminal and motor vehicle records, and valid automobile insurance.
