Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely billing, collections, and account reconciliations. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, proficiency with various accounting software, and excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and internal departments. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining the financial health of the organization through precise data entry, analysis, and adherence to financial standards such as GAAP.
Duties
- Manage accounts receivable functions including invoicing, collections, and payment processing using accounting software.
- Perform account reconciliations and analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payments via phone or email with professional etiquette
- Maintain accurate records of transactions through meticulous data entry and bookkeeping practices including double-entry bookkeeping and 10-key typing
- Support audit preparations by providing detailed account analysis and documentation
- Collaborate with other departments such as accounts payable, shipping and customer service
- Including additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting activities
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, debits & credits, journal entries, and revenue cycle management
- Proficiency experience with financial software tools is preferred
- Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
- Effective negotiation skills for collections activities and customer service experience for client interactions
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Required Associate degree in Accounting, 3-4 years experience in Accounts Receivable.
