Qualifications:

Required:

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Successful completion of all orientation requirements

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
• Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association

Scheduled shifts:

• Full Time
• Night
• 37.5 hours weekly
• 12.5 Hr Shifts 
• Weekends and rotating holiday commitments

Essential Functions:

The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
