Job Overview: 

  

RWJ Barnabas Health is looking to add a qualified full-time Occupational Therapist in New Brunswick, NJ. 

  

Qualifications: 

  

Required: 

• Rotating weekend and holiday availability is required 

• Graduate of accredited program in Occupational Therapy at the baccalaureate or post baccalaureate level required 

• Acute care/hospital experience OR strong acute rehab experience 

  

Preferred: 

• Active membership in a professional organization is encouraged 

  

Certifications and Licenses Required: 

  

• New Jersey board license required 

• Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association required 

  

Scheduling Requirements: 

  

• Day Shift, per diem

  

Essential Functions: 

  

• Responsible for evaluation and treatment of patients in the acute care setting, 

• Patient and family intervention on all nursing units including, but not limited to orthopedics, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, cardiac, critical care, trauma, general medicine and telemetry, emergency department and pediatrics, 

• Strong teamwork, communication and documentation skills required for intra disciplinary and interdisciplinary communication,
