Job Overview

The EEG Technician performs routine, sleep, portable, death determination, neonatal EEG recordings and video-eeg/long term epilepsy monitoring, as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma.
• Completion of an accredite/formal EEG program
• Neuroanatomy course a plus.
• AHA, BLS Certification required.
• Certified/registered or certified/registered eligible.
• One to three years previous experience in hospital related environment required.
  
  

Scheduling Requirements

• Day Shift
• Part-Time (16 hours per week)
• On call and weekend coverage required
  
  

Essential Functions

• Performs routine, sleep, portable, death determination, neonatal EEG recordings and video-eeg/long term epilepsy monitoring, as assigned. Patient population includes neonates to geriatrics.
• Responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
