What are the responsibilities and job description for the QAQC Lab Technician position at RWDC Industries?
QA/QC Lab Technician
Individuals selected for position will become members of our Lab Teams, operating the research, development, and production scale fermenters, bioreactors, and downstream processing equipment.
Specific Duties Include:
- Serve as valuable member of Operation Lab Teams, working effectively to meet goals, objectives, and complete tasks to achieve desired results
- Successful completion of assigned tasks, which include cleaning, sterilizing, and prepping equipment for microbiology/fermentation research and development activities
- Provide timely and accurate verbal and written communication to team members
- Work with other team members to prioritize tasks/assignments and make recommendations to maximize efficiency/productivity based on project needs.
- Successful candidates must be flexible to work day and night shifts.
Skills Required:
- Must possess solid problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and team-based skills
- Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Analyze samples for production processes, using various laboratory equipment Titration equipment, scales, GC, UHPLC, UV-Visible, FTIR, FT-NMR, Head Space Analysis, etc. - Demonstrated experience/knowledge working in a bioprocessing/biotechnology Lab
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Understand basic laboratory protocols/procedures, including basic bioprocessing and fermentation techniques, major unit operations and microbial control concepts.
- Interpret results of tests, and generate reports for operations
- Must be computer proficient and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Basic maintenance skills and good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Troubleshoot equipment and revise testing procedures as needed.
- This job requires working on different shifts as required.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree with 6mos-1 year experience
