Physical Education and Health Teacher (Long Term Sub., 3/2/26-6/1/26)

Rutland Town School is seeking a 1.0 FTE, Physical Education and Health teacher for grades 5-8, to begin March 2, 2026, until June 1, 2026. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes: Knowledge of best practices regarding physical education and health Ability to create effective lessons, differentiate instruction, and assess student progress for the purpose of providing an effective program that addresses individual need Knowledge of effective student management protocols Ability to create and maintain an effective and developmentally appropriate learning environment for students Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction Evidence of strong connection with students and families Strong communication skills and time management Experience in or knowledge of a Professional Learning Community and following district and school initiatives, policies, and procedures Ongoing educational training Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License Rutland Town School is a Pre-K-8 school with 350 students.
