Full Job Description
Ruth's Chris Steak House and UP on the Roof are seeking an experienced, results-driven Food & Beverage Director to oversee all food and beverage operations for our two premier dining destinations located in the heart of Downtown Greenville, SC.
This executive leadership position is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development across both concepts while supporting private dining, banquet, and special event business within one of Greenville's most prominent hospitality destinations on Riverside Drive.
The ideal candidate will have extensive upscale dining and hotel food and beverage experience, a strong background in private dining and banquet events, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities
-Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Ruth's Chris Steak House and UP on the Roof.
-Direct all front-of-house food and beverage operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
-Lead, coach, and develop management teams and hourly staff.
-Drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and profitability across both concepts.
-Manage budgets, forecasting, labor controls, inventory, and purchasing.
-Oversee private dining programs, banquet events, catering functions, and group business execution.
-Collaborate with the hotel management team to support hotel food and beverage initiatives, guest experience goals, group business needs, and operational requirements.
-Partner with culinary leadership to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
-Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
-Recruit, train, and retain hospitality professionals committed to excellence.
-Build strong relationships with guests, corporate partners, hotel stakeholders, and community organizations.
Required Qualifications
-Minimum 5 years of senior food and beverage leadership experience.
-Previous hotel food and beverage management experience.
-Experience managing upscale, fine dining, or high-volume restaurant operations.
-Strong private dining and banquet event experience.
-Demonstrated success managing multiple food and beverage outlets.
-Proven experience with P&L management, budgeting, labor controls, and revenue optimization.
-Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
-Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience leading food and beverage operations within a hotel environment.
-Experience with steakhouse, rooftop, or destination dining concepts.
-Strong wine, spirits, and beverage program knowledge.
-Hospitality, Business, or related degree preferred.

1. Must be able to lift, handle and carry beverage items, supplies, glass racks, smallwares and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
2. Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis to obtain and store food, beverage items, smallwares and service equipment.
3. Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
4. Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees and guests
