Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) units, and other equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct repairs on various mechanical components, including motors, pumps, belts, and air conditioning units.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing technical support and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure compliance and facilitate future troubleshooting.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during complex repairs or installations when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment repair.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment.
- Experience in construction or facility maintenance projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with contractors effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical systems, HVAC/R equipment, and general maintenance procedures.
