Job Overview
At Rustic Wedding & Event Rentals, we help create unforgettable weddings and events by providing high-quality rental equipment throughout the Kansas City area. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Event Rental Crew Member to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll load and unload rental equipment, clean and inspect inventory, organize the warehouse, and assist with deliveries and event setups. This is an active position that requires lifting, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Schedule
This position is 10-20 hours per week, primarily weekend-based, as most weddings and events take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Applicants should expect to work weekends on a regular basis, especially during our busy season. Must have your own truck or large SUV.
Some events also require late-night pickups, which may extend into the evening depending on the event schedule. While not every shift runs late, flexibility with evening and late-night work is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery, setup, and takedown of event rental equipment including tables, chairs, dance floors, and pipe & drape.
- Maintain organization of rental inventory and ensure all items are clean, functional, and ready for use.
- Help identify damaged or missing equipment
- Work safely while lifting and moving heavy items
- Must be dependable and arrive on time
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Able to repeatedly lift up to 80 lbs
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Available to work most weekends (Friday–Sunday)
- Able to work late evenings and late-night pickups as event schedules require
- Attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Willing to work a flexible schedule during busy wedding and event seasons
