Dance Floor Installation Crew Member

Job Overview

At Rustic Wedding & Event Rentals, we help create unforgettable weddings and events throughout the Kansas City area. We're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Dance Floor Installation Crew.

In this hands-on role, you'll travel to wedding and event venues to deliver, install, and remove portable dance floors. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in attention to detail, and likes working as part of a team. No prior experience is required - we'll provide all of the training.

We hire and schedule employees in teams of two. If you have a friend, family member, or coworker who would also be a great fit, we encourage you to apply together. Applicants are also welcome to apply individually, and we'll pair you with another crew member.

Because installations take place at venues throughout the Kansas City area, you must have your own reliable vehicle that is capable of transporting multiple 3' x 3' dance floor panels. Mileage is reimbursed in addition to your hourly pay.

Schedule

• 5–20 hours per week
• Primarily Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
• Most work occurs during wedding season
• Evening and late-night availability is required
• Many pickups occur after receptions and may extend late into the night
• Flexible scheduling based on event bookings

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, and remove portable dance floors at event venues
• Safely transport dance floor panels using your personal vehicle
• Work with another crew member to complete installations efficiently and professionally
• Able to repeatedly lift up to 40 lbs
• Ensure dance floors are installed level, secure, and clean
• Load and unload dance floor panels and related equipment
• Inspect equipment for damage and report any maintenance needs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area before and after events
• Represent Rustic Wedding & Event Rentals professionally while interacting with venue staff and clients
• Follow all company safety procedures

Requirements

• Reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting multiple 3' × 3' dance floor panels (pickup truck, SUV, van, or similar)
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable working evenings and late nights
• Available most weekends (Friday–Sunday)
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry 40 pounds
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
