We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Manager to ensure our property and facilities are always in immaculate, "event-ready" condition.
The Role
The Facilities/Maintenance Manager is responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the entire property, including venue buildings, grounds, equipment, and essential operating systems. This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends to address urgent event-related needs.
As a hospitality-driven business, Rustic Grace Events requires a team-oriented individual who is adaptable and proactive. This position supports the overall operation of the property, and responsibilities may vary from day to day based on the event schedule, seasonal demands, weather conditions, and business priorities. The ideal candidate is willing to assist with a wide variety of facilities, property, and event support tasks to ensure the venue remains safe, functional, and guest-ready at all times.
Because Rustic Grace Events operates in the hospitality and events industry, this role requires flexibility. While the primary focus is facilities and maintenance, responsibilities may evolve based on the event calendar, weather, seasonal demands, property improvement projects, and operational needs. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, takes ownership of the property, and is willing to contribute wherever needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience
Key Responsibilities
* Venue Readiness
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the venue remains safe, functional, and event-ready at all times.
- Proactively identify and address maintenance concerns before they impact operations or guest experience.
* Repairs & Facility Maintenance
- Perform minor to moderate repairs across multiple trades, including:
- Basic Plumbing: Fix leaks, clear minor clogs, repair fixtures, and perform routine plumbing maintenance.
- Basic Electrical: Replace bulbs, ballasts, and light fixtures (including high ceilings) and troubleshoot minor electrical issues.
- Carpentry & Painting: Complete drywall repairs, touch-up painting, repair trim, doors, hardware, and other general carpentry projects.
- Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, water heaters, irrigation, lighting, and other essential building systems.
* Property & Grounds
- Maintain all venue buildings, outdoor ceremony spaces, landscaping, parking areas, fencing, irrigation systems, lighting, and surrounding property.
- Perform seasonal property maintenance including pressure washing, mulching, planting, pruning, tree trimming, leaf removal, holiday decorating, weather-related cleanup, and other landscaping tasks as needed.
* Event Operations Support
- Ensure all event spaces are clean, safe, fully operational, and presentation-ready before, during, and after events.
- Respond promptly to maintenance or facility issues that arise before or during events.
- Assist with venue setup and breakdown, including moving furniture, décor, tables, chairs, equipment, and other venue assets as needed.
* Equipment & Inventory
- Maintain company vehicles, trailers, golf carts, UTVs, tractors, mowers, and maintenance equipment.
- Coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, fueling, and repairs.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, supplies, equipment, and maintenance materials.
* Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate and oversee outside contractors for repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, and deliveries along side the GM
- Obtain estimates, schedule services, and ensure work is completed according to company standards along side the GM
* Safety & Compliance
- Perform regular safety inspections throughout the property.
- Identify and proactively correct potential hazards.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA guidelines and company safety standards.
* General Operations
- Assist with special projects, renovations, capital improvements, and ongoing property enhancements.
- Support other departments with operational needs as business demands require.
- Responsibilities may vary based on the event schedule, seasonal needs, weather conditions, and business priorities.
- Perform other duties reasonably assigned that contribute to the overall success, appearance, and operation of Rustic Grace Events.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience (2 years preferred) in general maintenance, handyman work, or facilities management. Experience in a hospitality setting (hotel, resort, event venue) is a plus.
- Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair tasks. HVAC & Irrigation certifications and experience a major plus.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and vendors.
- Availability: Must have a flexible schedule and be available for on-call emergencies, especially on event days.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Schedule
- Standard Week: 40 Hours a week Monday thru Friday
- Typical schedule is Monday-Friday; however, hours will vary based on the event calendar, seasonal projects, emergencies, and business needs. Flexibility to occasionally work evenings, weekends, or holidays is required.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
