General:
Rust Automation & Controls is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Instrumentation Specialist. In this in-office role, you will work closely with outside sales teams to deliver technical and product support, prepare accurate quotations, process orders, and ensure timely follow-up throughout the sales process. Success in this position requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical aptitude, and outstanding communication skills.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide technical, application, and product support, including pricing and delivery information to salespeople and customers
- Review incoming orders for proper product selection and application.
- Support Project Manager & Outside Sales with lead qualification/follow-up, bid specifications, and project bid specifications
- Answer sales personnel’s questions regarding doing business with Rust Automation & Controls (tools and processes)
- Reading and understanding P&ID sheets
- Assist and manage certain sales initiatives to drive business directly with customers

- Uses an understanding of customer needs to initiate solutions
- Implement customer feedback to improve the overall experience and prevent issues from occurring
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents and bid specifications
- Ability to effectively present information in a clear and organized manner, and respond professionally and appropriately to questions from managers, reps, and customers
