How You’ll Contribute

As Regional Talent Generalist, you will help us reach our strategic growth goals by aligning business objectives with people strategies, delivering full-spectrum HR support and building strong relationships across the region.

The Regional Talent Generalist supports the delivery of human resources services in our St. Louis and Springfield offices. This hands-on role provides essential support in recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR operations. The Generalist works closely with the Director of People & Culture, Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, and the broader HR team to deliver exceptional support to both office-based and field team members while helping reinforce Russell’s core values and culture.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serves as a first point of contact for general HR inquiries from team members in the region.
  • Supports the coordination of recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate outreach, interview scheduling, and communication with applicants.
  • Assists with onboarding and orientation activities to ensure a positive and welcoming experience for new hires.
  • Maintains accurate employee records in HRIS (UKG) and assists with routine reporting and compliance tracking.
  • Helps coordinate engagement activities and cultural events that promote team connection and appreciation.
  • Provides administrative support for training, development programs, and talent management initiatives.
  • Partners with the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to support local job fairs, career awareness events, and community workforce outreach efforts.
  • Assists in communicating company policies and procedures, and provides general policy guidance as needed.
  • Collaborates with field and office teams to ensure a consistent and supportive HR presence.
  • Visits job sites regularly to support team member engagement and visibility, enhancing relationships between the field and office.
  • Supports employee relations efforts by documenting conversations and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and experience include: four-year degree or equivalent combination of related experience with 3 years progressive human resources experience; experience working in construction, engineering, or related industry strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of recruitment strategies, sourcing techniques, and best practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in both field and office settings. Ability to build credibility, trust, and influence across all levels within the organization. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems, and other recruitment tools. Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics for decision-making. Possession of a valid driver’s license, with the ability and willingness to travel regularly between the St. Louis, MO and Springfield, MO offices (approximately 25%-35%).
