How You’ll Contribute

As the Regional Safety Manager you will provide safety standards, training and risk management measures to maintain safety excellence.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining and updating safety programs and related safety materials including, but not limited to: OSHA 300 log, safety recordkeeping, training records, safety audits and all other documentation for compliance.
  • Conducts frequent safety audits, consistent with prescribed corporate frequency to determine appropriate actions to ensure the safety of people, property and the environment.
  • Conducts prompt and effective investigation of personal injury, vehicle or GL incidents/claims.
  • Provides consultative guidance and advice to management and project team members relative to safety.
  • Coordinates site-specific safety plans.
  • Identifies and conducts/facilitates training on mandated and/or task specific conditions, including safety orientations.
  • Monitors industry trends relative to policies and procedures and makes recommendations for policy or process improvement.
  • Provides oversight and leadership to the Safety Committee.

Requirements

Educational and experience requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Construction Safety or related science with an emphasis in business or risk management coursework required OR equivalent level of experience required. Up to three (3) years of experience in construction/industrial safety administration required. Knowledge and ability to enforce Federal, State, Local and corporate safety regulations required. Ability to recognize hazardous situations/conditions and implement corrective measures is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required. Must possess excellent communication skills, attention to details and ability to make decisions within body of knowledge is essential. Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License in good standing.
