Russell Tobin's client, an American specialty retail company, is hiring a Visual Merchandising Specialist in Reynoldsburg, OH.

Job Title: Visual Merchandising Specialist

Location: Reynoldsburg, OH (Hybrid – flexible onsite requirements)

Duration: 3-month contract with potential extension

Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $32.00 – $34.29/hour

Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandising Specialist to support the development and execution of innovative in-store experiences. This role focuses on building visual strategies that enhance brand storytelling, elevate the retail environment, and drive customer engagement and conversion.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Creative Marketing, Merchandising, Store Operations, and Design to deliver cohesive and customer-centric retail experiences from concept through in-store execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop visually compelling merchandising presentations that drive traffic and conversion
• Execute creative concepts for retail transformation initiatives
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting key deadlines and milestones
• Deliver innovative merchandising solutions aligned with brand objectives
• Partner with merchandising teams to bring product assortments to life in-store
• Stay current on fashion, beauty, interior, and retail trends to inform creative direction
• Conduct store visits to gather insights and identify opportunities
• Support virtual store design programming and in-store visual execution (approx. 80% of role)

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in visual merchandising or a related field
• Strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to balance operational and creative responsibilities (50/50 focus)
• Excellent attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
• Advanced understanding of product positioning and visual storytelling
• Proficiency in Windows OS and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with IWD merchandising software or similar tools preferred

Team & Environment:
